Money talk
Money is hard. Hard to earn, hard to manage and, let's be honest, hard to talk about.
It feels unnatural to discuss finances with others. Maybe we worry they'll think less of us, assume we're unwise, or simply wouldn't understand. I have my share of money stories that I’m not proud of. I once convinced myself (and others) to buy deep into a stock I was “sure” would skyrocket, only to watch it plummet. We've all been there.
Imagine a world where people are not afraid to talk about money. What if we could talk about money openly, without shame or judgment? This is not utopia, in this world people still make both good and bad money decisions, however, they recognize the bad ones and adjust course based on the learnings. That’s the world I want to help build!
Introducing Financial You. Through these articles, I want to have open and honest conversations with you, the reader who desires a healthier relationship with money. Not in a greedy way. It's about cultivating a mindful approach to your finances. I hope our discussions inspire and empower you to take action.
Money talk is uncomfortable at first, then it’s transformative. By sharing our experiences and learning from each other, we can:
Gain new perspectives: Hearing how others handle money can open your eyes to new strategies and approaches.
Boost accountability: Talking about your goals with others can keep you motivated and on track.
Reduce shame and isolation: Realizing you're not alone in your financial struggles can be incredibly freeing.
Let’s Talk Money!
I'm passionate about sparking conversations about money. My posts will always end with prompts to keep the money talk flowing. So, let's get started! Take a moment to reflect on these:
